Well I can hardly believe it when I say I have been working as an actress in business for 27 years – the time has just flown by and I feel very fortunate to have been able to use my skills to do the things I feel passionate about – communicating!
I was working as an actress at The Theatre Royal, Stratford East and became one of three founding members of a team called Actors Shop. I think we were probably the first people to take our skills out of the theatre and into business – and it was the beginning of something that has shaped and developed me and my career.
I have a very busy working life as I still work as an actress and over the last twenty years have focussed mainly on work in television – I call it my life in crime as my work includes playing Inspector Christine Fraser in over 100 episodes of 'The Bill', Barbara McKenzie the child protection officer in 7 series of Lynda la Plant's 'Trial & Retribution' and most recently Coop the Judge's clerk in 'Judge John Deed'.
I have worked across many sectors of business both in the UK and abroad using what I have learnt and experienced as an expert in behaviours, voice and communication skills. I specialise in working at very senior level and love working with clients to find their own individual style to then help them communicate with confidence whether it be at a presentation, meeting, media interview, after dinner speech or as a leader of a team.
I believe that in this technological world where we work and live in communities that embrace different cultures and language – we can develop our communication to a new level.
