Business Psychologist

Graham Hedley

Hi and thanks for looking this far into our website and getting to me. My role is a bit of a specialist one. As you will already know, we are a behavioural training organisation and what I do is train psychological skills to support behavioural change. As an organisation our goals are to train people to have more personal impact, be more effective, be able to deal with all the tough stuff that’s always part of working life, and enjoy work and life a little more. In order to achieve this it is very important to develop the psychological skills to understand situations and other people and how to respond. This is where I come in.

Why is developing psychological skills so important?
Because thought always takes place before behaviour and behaviour is how other people experience us, becoming more effective, influential and happier doesn’t happen by chance it takes knowledge, skills and action.

My background, experience and qualifications
My business experience includes roles as Resident Vice President Citibank, Sales Director Legal & General, Head of Customer Services Liverpool Victoria Group. All of these jobs had responsibility for lots of people, multi-million pound budgets and for achieving demanding business targets.

Academically, I lecture part time in Work Psychology at Solent University, Southampton and in Advanced Counselling Skills at Wiltshire College. I have three degree’s; first degrees in Business Studies and Psychology and a higher degree in Psychology, hence the MSc and BSc after my name, and my current research project is on the impact of psychological training on personal performance.

I also do community work for a charity that supports people who are affected by addictions.

I hope this overview is helpful and if you would like to know more then please contact me. I also hope we get to meet and talk so I can tell you more about what we do and how great we are.
