Effective Leadership programmes

A good leader is inspirational and has an holistic, proactive approach rather than a responsive one. They are able to motivate others and give them direction and all this in addition to ensuring operational effectiveness.

Through a combination of one to one coaching and experiential workshops we can help build the leaders that drive an organisation to success.

The principles and ideas which form the base of our “Impact on others” programme are also those which are most likely to produce effective leaders.

Management Development programmes

Our management development work is tailored specifically to the needs, challenges and desires of the managers involved. We work on a 1-1 basis or in groups depending on what is most suitable, although all of our work is highly participative and engaging.

We take live tasks/behaviours which are perceived to be weak, identify and work on areas for improvement and play things through until confidence and performance are transformed.

Impact on others Programme

What transforms the performance of people is the impact of other people!

As a manager you are other people. Business if full of examples of how the impact of people on people brings great results or really bad results.

Getting great results means making a great impact. The impact of optimistic and positive management and leadership on operational performance, staff morale and customer service is amazing.

We’re not talking about “ain’t life great, smile and the world smiles with you”, stuff. Being realistically optimistic and positive are powerful managerial strengths and skills. They are fundamental to leading others, getting the best from people and maintaining a sense of personal well being, as well as developing the skill and resilience to combat negative and defeatist behaviours and thinking in others.

Being realistically optimistic and positive in a professional environment aren’t personal traits, they are managerial strengths, powerful influences on others, they generate respect and confidence and crucially, are based on learned knowledge and practiced skills.

The Goals of the Impact on Others Workshops are to learn the knowledge and skills to: -

  • Have a lasting and powerful, positive impact on the performance of others and yourself
  • Know how to develop these skills in others
  • Respond positively to negativity, defeatist and obstructive behaviour
  • Inspire and lead others to greater levels of performance

Impact on others: Taking up a new role

One to one Management Development Modules

This programme is also available as a series of one to one modules designed to support a manager as they take control of a new team or department. The goals and content of the programme remain the same i.e. to have a powerful influence on people and events right from the start of a new role. The format and timings for the programme are flexible and constructed around the manager’s work schedule.

The programme starts with a 3 hour foundation workshop which takes place before or within the first week of the manager taking up their new responsibilities. This is followed by seven weekly 2 hour workshops.

The aim is to develop the skills needed to have a big impact on people and business results during the most vital period of any new role i.e. the first 100 days.

The modular programme is dynamic in that it speeds up the process of integration into a new role. The new tools and techniques learned can be applied immediately to business situations.
